1986-S Proof Silver Eagle, 1 oz, PCGS PR70

This exceptional 1986-S Proof Silver Eagle represents one of the finest examples of the early proof American Silver Eagle series. The coin features the iconic design by Adolph A. Weinman, with Liberty in profile on the obverse and an eagle landing on the reverse, both rendered in stunning detail characteristic of proof coinage.

Graded PCGS PR70, this specimen achieves a perfect numerical grade, indicating flawless surfaces with exceptional eye appeal and striking detail. The proof finish displays brilliant, mirror-like fields contrasting beautifully with the frosted design elements. As a 1986-S issue from the San Francisco Mint, this coin represents an important early date in the modern American Silver Eagle program, which began in 1986.

The PR70 designation reflects the ultimate condition for a proof coin, with no visible imperfections under standard magnification.
