CAC (Certified Acceptance Corporation) was founded in 2007 by John Albanese, a well-known coin dealer and former PCGS co-founder.
How CAC Works
CAC reviews coins that have already been graded by PCGS or NGC. Their experts determine if a coin is: - Solid for the grade (green sticker) - Premium quality for the grade (gold sticker)
Coins that don't meet CAC standards receive no sticker.
CAC Sticker Colors
Green Sticker: The coin is solid for the assigned grade, meaning it's at least average quality or better within that grade.
Gold Sticker: The coin is exceptional and likely undergraded. Many gold-stickered coins are considered to be of the quality of the next higher grade.
Why CAC Matters
